I’m really liking this new wip of mine, which probably will mean that no one else will. lol

“I like my women the same way I like my cigarettes and whiskey—addictive, bad, and a little bit nasty.”

“And given enough time, one of them will surely kill you.”

He laughed, pointing his unlit cigarette at her. “Babe, I think I’m starting to like you.”

“You’ll get over it.” 

Even with all my mixed emotions on some of the arcs of LBD, it is sad to see the show ending. The LBD brought it to the final episode—it had everything that first made me fall in love with the show: humor, heart, some crying.

The final episode pretty much hit all the right spots—-and please, the mother totally knows what’s going on. No mother that involved is that clueless or doesn’t know what’s going on in the family she’s the head of. Because, c’mon, the father is totally obsessed with his trains. We all know the mother knows it all.

But regardless it was fun tumbling about this series and tweeting about it, and Darcy Day and all that. I’m going to focus on the good times with LBD, not the bad. :)

Lizzie: Mom, let me explain…

Charlotte: I can explain, Mrs. B. (although really wouldn’t Charlotte call Mrs. B by her first name?)

Mrs. B: I’d like to hear what you both have to say!

Charlotte: Well…

Lizzie: See…

Mrs. B.: Girls, do you think I’m stupid? Of course I know.

Lizzie: You…you do?

Mrs. B: I’m your mother, Elizabeth Austen Bennet. I know everything. I’ve already talked to Jane and Lydia, and your father thought he could keep the things hidden from me?! Bless his heart. And now I’m talking to you—

Charlotte: *whispers* I’m kind of scared right now.

Mrs. B: —And to you, Charlotte. Don’t think for one minute you don’t have some questions to answer.

Charlotte: Yup. Definitely scared.

Lizzie: I think I just peed my pants.

Mrs. B: I’m hurt. TOTALLY HURT you’d keep this from me!

Lizzie: I’m sorry, Mom. I totally am.

Charlotte: I’m sorry, too.

Mrs. B: That’s fine, dears. But now, tell me all about this…Darvid. I saw you two kissing on those videos. *fans self* He looks like a very good kisser.

Lizzie: MOM!

I had a feeling when Hank Green wrote a Tumblr post defending the Kickstarter campaign on the Veronica Mars movie that he was planning something similar in the works for the LBD.

I was totally right!

Sadly I wished these hunches of mine would work on more fruitful things, like saying picking the numbers to win a gazillion dollars from the lottery or showing up at a coffee shop just as Richard Armitage is and have the Meet Cute. Hey, a girl can dream.

I’m not sure how I feel about Kickstarter campaigns honestly. I’m a little torn on it. I get the drumming up of excitement for projects but I don’t know … it feels a shaky ground to navigate.

But anyway with the announcement that the spring will be WELCOME TO SANDITION and star Gigi Darcy, I’m just … oh boy, they’re going for an uncompleted Austen novel so they can do what they want at the end.

That, and I’m sort of betting that there’s going to be a Choose Your Adventure type of poll, like what will Gigi do next and depending on what is voted the most, the story will shift in that direction.

It’s all interesting. Very, very, very interesting.
